Botox | Xeomin | Dysport

Wrinkles created by the daily motions of smiling and frowning can't be avoided, even with the best skincare routine.

Botox Cosmetic, Xeomin and Dysport are three medications that are used to improve the signs of wrinkles around the eyes, in between the brows and on the forehead.

Botox works by weakening the muscles into which it is injected. As facial muscles contract, the loose skin above those muscles wrinkles. By weakening the muscles, the wrinkles are reduced. There is minimal downtime and recovery. Botox is also known to treat hyperhydrosis (sweaty armpits or palms) and migraines.

Muscles contract because nerve fibers are releasing a chemical signal called acetylcholine. Dysport is injected directly into the muscles to temporarily immobilize them. Fine lines and wrinkles are reduced due to the reduction in muscle contractions.
